Mediatek's Dimensity 9300 SoC scores 2 Million+ on AnTuTu Benchmark

Mediatek is preparing to launch the Dimensity 9300, featuring a unique octa-core CPU. Recently, this upcoming SoC appeared on AnTuTu's database, achieving an impressive score of over 2 million, setting a new high standard. The individual component scores are also quite remarkable.

The CPU configuration of the Dimensity 9300 is expected to include 4 Cortex-X4 units and 4 Cortex-A720 units, likely organized in a 1+3+4 cluster combination, omitting the "small" Cortex-A520 cores.

It's important to note that the exact device used for this AnTuTu test is undisclosed, and the model number provides no significant information – it could be a testing prototype. The test configuration involved 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, with the device running on Android 14.

This AnTuTu score marks the first time we've seen a smartphone surpass the 2,000,000 threshold on the benchmark. Notably, every component of the Dimensity 9300 outperformed any results achieved by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, with the CPU performing 65% better, the GPU showing a 55% improvement, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage being 33% faster, and the user experience (UX) score being over 50% higher.

It's important to recognize that while these benchmark scores reflect impressive hardware performance, real-world experiences may not see such dramatic differences, unless the device features efficient cooling mechanisms. Mediatek has yet to announce the official release date of the Dimensity 9300 and which smartphones will feature this new chipset.
