With Gmail Q&A, users can ask Gemini various questions related to their emails. This functionality is designed to make it easier to locate specific details, find unread messages, filter emails from certain senders, or even get summaries of emails on particular topics. This enhanced interaction is aimed at improving the overall email management experience directly from an Android device.
Previously, this feature was accessible via the Gemini side panel in Gmail on the web, but it is now being extended to mobile users. To access Gmail Q&A on Android, users can either tap the black Gemini star icon situated at the top right corner of the Gmail app or utilize the "summarize this email" chip, making it intuitive and easy to use.
The rollout of Gmail Q&A is expected to reach all eligible users within the next 15 days. However, it is important to note that access to this feature requires a Google One AI Premium subscription or a subscription to Gemini Business, Enterprise, or Education plans. Google also plans to launch this feature for iOS devices soon, thereby extending its availability to a broader audience.
By incorporating these advanced AI features into Gmail, Google aims to enhance user experience, making email management more efficient and effective. With Gemini’s sophisticated search and summarization tools, users can expect a more streamlined approach to handling their email communications.
