The Galaxy Quantum5, developed in collaboration with SK Telecom, is exclusively available in South Korea, meaning it cannot be purchased outside the country. This partnership, along with ID Quantique (IDQ), a company specializing in quantum cryptographic technology, brings a unique feature to the phone: a Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) chip.
This chip leverages quantum physics to produce truly random numbers, enhancing the encryption and decryption of sensitive data, such as biometric information and passwords. By utilizing quantum-generated numbers, the QRNG chip reduces the likelihood of outside interference and tampering, a vulnerability present in more conventional random number generation methods.
Apart from the QRNG chip, the Galaxy Quantum5 shares much of its design and specifications with the Galaxy A55. The phone features a sturdy aluminum frame with a glass front and back, offering IP67-rated water and dust resistance. It sports a 6.6-inch, 120Hz Super AMOLED display, providing a smooth and vibrant visual experience.
The audio experience is enhanced by stereo speakers. The camera setup includes a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro camera on the back, catering to various photography needs. Powering the device is the Exynos 1480 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. The Quantum5 is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging, ensuring prolonged usage without frequent recharges.

This unique combination of quantum security and solid smartphone features makes the Galaxy Quantum5 a noteworthy option for users seeking enhanced data protection along with reliable performance.
