Google might acknowledge or tease the Pixel 9 during tomorrow's Google I/O keynote

It's certainly not unusual for Google Pixel hardware to be the subject of leaks, but seeing the Pixel 9 series so far ahead of the typical release timeframe is quite surprising. While it's unclear exactly why these units are out in the wild so early, it does raise questions about Google's plans for their release schedule and marketing strategy.

The Pixel 9 series, especially the regular 9 Pro with its flagship camera capabilities in a more compact form factor, is garnering a lot of attention. The design change with the camera bar, though not spanning the full width of the phone, still maintains a unique identity for the Pixel lineup compared to competitors like Apple and Samsung.

As for Google's intentions with these early leaks, it's hard to say. Perhaps they're aiming to generate buzz and anticipation earlier than usual, or it could be indicative of a potential shift in their release schedule for 2024. It's also possible that Google might acknowledge or tease the Pixel 9 during tomorrow's Google I/O keynote, even though we've already seen images of the devices.

As for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, or any foldable Pixel device, it seems to have remained elusive amidst all the leaks surrounding the regular Pixel 9 series. It's anyone's guess when or if Google will unveil such a device, but for now, all eyes seem to be on the upcoming Pixel 9 lineup and its potential early reveal.
