Humane AI Pin: Screen-less Wearable Revolution - Shipping in March for Early Orders at $699

The Humane AI Pin, a screen-less wearable device designed to replace smartphones, is expected to start shipping in March. The company, founded by former Apple employees Bethany Bongiorno and Imran Chaudhri, has prioritized shipping for those who placed early orders, with a focus on fulfilling priority orders first.

Priced at $699, the Humane AI Pin operates without a screen, relying on voice cues and a projector to display relevant information onto the user's hand. Emphasizing privacy and contextual intelligence, the device aims to quickly understand users' needs and connect them to the right AI experience or service. Humane has established partnerships with OpenAI, Microsoft, and Tidal, providing access to powerful AI models and platforms.

The AI Pin runs on a quad-core Snapdragon processor with a dedicated Qualcomm AI Engine, powering its Cosmos OS software. It comes in three color options, with Eclipse (matte black on black) priced at $699 and Lunar (polished chrome on white) and Equinox (polished chrome on black) colorways costing $799. The device requires a $24 monthly fee for cellular data access, operating as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) on T-Mobile's network.

Humane has positioned the AI Pin as a revolutionary alternative to smartphones, offering a new way of thinking about wearable technology. The company views the smartphone era as having plateaued and sees its AI-powered wearable as a novel opportunity. The device is available for pre-order on Humane's website, with shipping expected to begin in March for priority orders.
