OnePlus has commenced the rollout of its Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 operating software for OnePlus 11 users in India. The stable update is initially being pushed to users who participated in the Close Beta and Open Beta versions of the software. After the beta testing phase, the update will be extended to regular OnePlus 11 users. While the company has not provided a specific timeline for the rollout on other eligible devices, it is anticipated in the coming weeks.
OxygenOS 14, introduced in September, brings several enhancements, including a new platform called Trinity Engine 1 designed for system-wide performance boost. This platform incorporates Vita (Vitalisation) enhancements for CPU, RAM, and ROM, optimizing internal resources for improved performance without compromising battery life. HyperRendering, HyperTouch, and HyperBoost technologies have also been introduced to enhance in-game graphics, touch control precision, and AI-based graphics elements arrangement.
Privacy features are enhanced with photo management permissions, restricting apps from direct access to media, and requiring authorization for access. The UI sees improvements with Aquamorphic Design 2.0 for transition effects, animations, music, and color systems. The Fluid Cloud feature presents notifications in bubbles, capsules, and panels. Additionally, a new File Dock feature facilitates information sharing through gestures within the Dock or other applications. Users are advised to have a minimum 30% battery charge and 5GB storage space before installing the update.
