Nvidia's CES 2024 Keynote Fuels Speculation About RTX 40-Series Super Graphics Card Debut

Nvidia has sent out press invitations for a "special address" at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January, sparking speculation about the potential debut of the RTX 40-series Super graphics cards. Recent rumors have suggested that Nvidia might unveil the RTX 4070 Super and RTX 4080 Super at CES 2024. The invitations do not explicitly mention GeForce, and details about the keynote on January 8th are limited.

Leaked information about the RTX 4080 Super suggests it could feature 20GB of VRAM, an upgrade from the 16GB found in current RTX 4080 models. Both the RTX 4070 and RTX 4080 Super cards are anticipated to have a higher memory bus compared to existing equivalents. If Nvidia indeed introduces Super versions for the RTX 40-series, it would mark the first time since the 20-series in 2019. The industry is keen to learn about the pricing and performance improvements these new GPUs might bring. The CES keynote on January 8th is expected to provide more details.
