In March of this year, Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor, which boasted significant improvements over its predecessor. Today, the company has unveiled yet another addition to its Snapdragon 7 series, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.
This latest chipset is manufactured using TSMC's cutting-edge 4nm process technology. It features a combination of four Cortex A78 performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz and four Cortex A55 efficiency cores running at 1.95GHz, delivering a seamless and efficient user experience. Additionally, it comes equipped with an Adreno 710 GPU and Snapdragon X62 5G modem-RF system, supporting both WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.
The Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 also offers support for an FHD+ display with capabilities such as 4k video playback at 30fps, a 10-bit color depth, an impressive 144Hz refresh rate, HLG, HDR10, and HDR vivid. Its triple ISPs with 12-bit support can handle sensors up to 200MP and HDR video recording. The chipset is enriched with Qualcomm's Snapdragon Elite gaming features, including Snapdragon Sound with Qualcomm aptX for high-quality music streaming. It is compatible with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, and it features the FastConnect 6700 mobile connectivity system. The inclusion of AI De-Noising (AIDE) enhances network rendering and photo clarity. Moreover, it supports Quick Charge 4+ technology.
