Samsung is gearing up to unveil two new smartphones, the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35, in its premier Galaxy A-series on March 11. While these specifics have been confirmed, additional key details have emerged as both devices briefly appeared for purchase in Germany ahead of their official launch.
Samsung has officially stated that both smartphones will feature flagship-inspired designs constructed with premium materials, ensuring a premium user experience. Furthermore, the devices will boast IP67 rating for spill resistance and strengthened Gorilla Glass protection compared to previous models.
Regarding the camera setup, both Galaxy A-series smartphones will feature advanced nightography capabilities. Samsung has also committed to providing four OS updates and five years of security updates for these upcoming smartphones.
Moving on to the speculated details, the Samsung Galaxy A55 is expected to offer variants with 8GB of RAM across all models, with storage options ranging from 128GB to 256GB. On the other hand, the more affordable Galaxy A35 is anticipated to be available in configurations with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB. The estimated starting prices for the Galaxy A55 and A35 are 479 euros and 379 euros, respectively.
In terms of specifications, the Galaxy A55 is likely to feature a 6.5-inch fullHD AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the Exynos 1480 processor. The camera setup may include a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro lens, with a 32MP front-facing camera. It is expected to be equipped with a 5000mAh battery and run on OneUI 6 based on Android 14.
On the other hand, the Galaxy A35 is anticipated to be powered by the Exynos 1380 chip, featuring a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The camera setup might comprise a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro lens, with a 13MP front camera. Similar to the A55, it is expected to pack a 5000mAh battery and run on OneUI 6 based on Android 14.
