Among the highlights were the introduction of the Qualcomm AI Hub, the unveiling of the Snapdragon X80 5G Modem-RF System, and the debut of the Qualcomm FastConnect 7900 Mobile Connectivity system.

The Snapdragon X80 5G Modem-RF System represents Qualcomm's seventh-generation 5G solution, boasting impressive features such as a peak download speed of 10 Gbps and a peak upload speed of 3.5 Gbps. Key enhancements include the integration of a dedicated 5G AI Processor, support for NB-NTN satellite communications, and an innovative 6-antenna architecture for smartphones. With AI-driven innovations for improved data speeds, latency, quality of service, and power efficiency, the Snapdragon X80 sets new standards for 5G performance.

Commercial devices equipped with the Snapdragon X80 are expected to hit the market in the latter half of 2024, further enhancing Qualcomm's lineup of cutting-edge mobile technologies. This new modem-RF system is poised to be integrated into the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, promising enhanced connectivity and performance for next-generation smartphones.
