ASUS has officially introduced the ROG Phone 8 Pro series in India, showcasing impressive features tailored for gaming enthusiasts. The device boasts a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED HDR display with a 1-120Hz LTPO panel, offering a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz for an immersive gaming experience. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, coupled with up to 24GB of RAM, the phone ensures high-end performance without compromising on a 15% thinner and lighter design with thinner bezels, emphasizing both premium aesthetics and durability.
The ROG Phone 8 Pro incorporates advanced thermal design, featuring the Rapid-Cooling Conductor design, which efficiently conducts heat from the processor to the back cover. Additionally, the all-new AeroActive Cooler X clip-on cooler, now 29% smaller, enhances thermal efficiency by 1.2X, effectively reducing back cover temperatures by up to 26°C.
The camera setup is equally impressive, featuring a 50MP main camera with a Sony sensor, 6-Axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer 3.0, a 13MP ultrawide camera, and a groundbreaking addition for an ROG phone – a 32MP 3X telephoto lens with built-in OIS. The phone also boasts a 32MP front-facing ultrawide selfie camera with an expanded field of view (FoV) from 73° to 90°.
Introducing Anime Vision Mini-LED technology, the ROG Phone 8 Pro incorporates a 341-element display capable of showcasing preset or user-created animations. The device stands out as the world's first IP68-compliant gaming smartphone, resilient against dust and water ingress.
Powering the ROG Phone 8 Pro is a dual-cell 5,500mAh battery, supported by 65W HyperCharge fast charging, enabling a full charge in just 39 minutes. The device also supports 15W Qi wireless charging for added convenience.
In terms of pricing, the ROG Phone 8 Pro with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at Rs 94,999, while the ROG Phone 8 Pro Edition, featuring 24GB RAM and 1TB storage, including the AeroActive Cooler X, is priced at Rs 119,999. The AeroActive Cooler X is available separately for Rs. 5,999. The devices will be available soon through Vijay Sales Store, ASUS E-Shop, ASUS Exclusive Store, and ROG Store, with the exact release date yet to be announced.
