Vivo's introduction of Funtouch OS 14 in India, built upon Android 14, promises to significantly enhance the smartphone experience. This update focuses on both performance optimization and visual appeal. The Smooth Envision approach optimizes RAM usage, potentially freeing up substantial memory, particularly beneficial for devices with 8GB or more of RAM.
Users can also enjoy smoother visual transitions with Motion Blur, even on devices with lower refresh rates, making interactions more seamless. The multitasking experience is improved with the ability to manage up to 12 active windows in the background. Personalization options abound, allowing users to tailor the interface to their preferences, from lock screen clocks to themes.
Alongside these enhancements, there are valuable additions like video editing improvements, a stronger privacy and security architecture, and more. The rollout begins with Vivo X90 Pro devices and will gradually extend to other models, culminating in April 2024.
