Google has launched its Play Games beta for PC in India and 60 additional countries, expanding its availability to over 120 countries worldwide. This project enables users to play Android games on Windows-based systems and was initially introduced in 2022.
To access Google Play Games on PC, users must have Windows 10, a system with 4 CPU physical cores, at least 10GB of free storage on a solid-state drive (SSD), an Intel UHD Graphics 630 GPU or an equivalent, and a minimum of 8GB of RAM. It's important to note that since the program is still in beta, these hardware requirements may change in the final release.
Google has also made the service accessible in both English and Hindi for users in India. Players can seamlessly synchronize their game progress across various devices, including Android smartphones, tablets, Chromebooks, and PCs. Google offers a diverse selection of more than 100 titles as part of this program, including popular Indian titles like "Ludo King" and "Hitwicket Games."
Furthermore, Google began testing keyboard controls for select Android games on ChromeOS in the previous year, enhancing the gaming experience for users across different platforms. In March, Google introduced an emulator that enables game developers to quickly debug their games, streamlining the development process. Additionally, Google has integrated Play Games with Android Studio, offering developers the tools to make necessary adjustments and efficiently deploy their games to a broader audience.
