Motorola Unveils Razr 40 Ultra and Razr 40: Foldable Smartphones Redefining Style and Technology

Motorola has unveiled its 2023 Razr family, featuring two foldable devices that combine style and premium specs. Leading the lineup is the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, which boasts a modern and ultra-pocketable design, making it the thinnest closed-flip smartphone in the industry. It features a 6.79-inch main pOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a 1,400 nits peak brightness. The device also includes a 3.6-inch cover display, which offers new ways to interact, capture, and create content. It features a 12MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide and macro lens, and a 32MP front camera. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, has up to 12GB of RAM, and offers 512GB of onboard storage. It runs Android 13 and features IP52 splash resistance, 5G, WiFi-6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, and NFC.

The Motorola Razr 40 is another foldable device in the family. It features a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, along with a smaller 1.5-inch cover screen. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, has up to 12GB of RAM, and offers 256GB of storage. It features a 64MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 32MP front camera. The Razr 40 also boasts an IP52 water-repellent rating.

Both devices come with features such as customizable panels, gesture capture, and auto-smile capture. They feature a 3.6-inch pOLED external display with refresh rates up to 144Hz, and users can prop open their devices in Flex View to watch content with the highest resolution in its class.

The Razr 40 Ultra focuses on content creation with its 12MP main camera sensor, wide f/1.5 aperture, and OIS. Users can access the main camera for selfies or use the external display to preview content. The device also has a 32MP front camera and a 13MP ultrawide + macro vision lens.

Motorola's Razr 40 Ultra features a redesigned teardrop hinge with dual-axis tracking, making it the thinnest closed-fold smartphone in the market. The device offers bold color options, including Viva Magenta, Infinite Black, and Glacier Blue.

Both devices offer an enhanced audio experience with Dolby Atmos and Motorola's Spatial Sound, powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 for advanced AI, fast refresh rates, 5G, and professional-quality cameras. They come with larger batteries, 30W TurboPower charging, and wireless charging.
