Oppo Find N2 Flip Review: A Stylish and Affordable Entry into the World of Foldable Phones

The Oppo Find N2 Flip offers a refreshing departure from the conventional smartphone design with its folding display. It folds into a compact square shape, reminiscent of flip phones from the past, while also boasting a futuristic appeal. The outer display, although a bit cramped for extensive use, offers creative functions like using it as a viewfinder for better selfies and customizable widgets for quick access to essential information. The inner AMOLED display impresses with its adaptive refresh rate, sharp resolution, and high brightness, making it comfortable for various tasks. The folding action feels satisfying, and Oppo claims it can endure 400,000 folds, although it lacks an IP rating for water resistance.

Under the hood, the Find N2 Flip is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset, providing good performance for everyday tasks and gaming. Some occasional interface issues could be attributed to Oppo's ColorOS on top of Android 13, but they don't significantly hinder the experience. Battery life is reasonable, though not exceptional, and the phone supports fast wired charging.

In terms of photography, the 50-megapixel primary camera delivers detailed shots, but Oppo's post-processing can sometimes oversaturate colors. Secondary cameras, including the 8-megapixel ultrawide and 32-megapixel selfie camera, may not perform as well.

While the Find N2 Flip may not match the top-tier smartphones in some aspects, its unique folding design sets it apart. It competes favorably in its price range, offering an intriguing alternative to traditional smartphones. If you're curious about foldable phones and prefer affordability, the Oppo Find N2 Flip could be an excellent choice. However, it faces competition from the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 for those interested in foldable phones with a more premium price tag.
