Currently, the Play Store uses "chips" — small tags that represent different form factors like phones, Chromebooks, and tablets. Users can tap these chips to see the app's rating on each specific device type. However, this new feature would streamline the process by displaying the ratings directly within these chips. This means users would no longer need to tap on the chips to view the ratings, saving them an extra step and providing immediate clarity about how well an app performs on each form factor.
This enhancement, although minor, reflects Google's commitment to simplifying and improving the user experience.
