In response to a credible death threat, Unity Technologies, a prominent video game software company, has swiftly implemented stringent security measures to protect its staff and stakeholders. The company's CEO, John Riccitiello, made the difficult decision to cancel a scheduled town hall meeting and temporarily closed its offices in Austin, Texas, and San Francisco. 

This security concern emerged amid significant controversy and pushback from the gaming community following Unity's decision to revamp its pricing structure for the Unity Engine.
